Augustin is part of a generation of composers that no longer sees tradition and modernity as opposites.

Trained in classical music in Brussels for ten years and later graduating with honors in Composition in London, he grew up with both the orchestra and the worlds of synthesizers, rock, and digital production. His musical identity naturally developed at the intersection of these influences.

Since 2020, he has composed for short films, documentaries, and feature films. His approach goes beyond simply accompanying an image: he uses music to reveal what lies beneath it, creating a narrative space of its own.

His latest projects include the score for Up and Down, a documentary directed by Paul Lavoine about Belgian paraglider Jean de Biolley and his participation in the 2025 Red Bull X-Alps, as well as Une furieuse envie de vivre, directed by Charles and Henri Masset, premiering on Canal+ on October 22.

In 2025, he received the Best Music Award at the Nikon Film Festival, co-composed with French singer and screen composer Léa Castel, recognizing their collaborative and immersive approach to film music.
